For every business, people are its greatest asset. Engaged, productive, and collaborative employees will help you reach and often exceed, your business goals. Developing a high-performance team will ensure the long-term success of your business, with better results. You’ll also create a workplace that inspires passionate team members who enjoy greater morale and motivation.

A few years ago, Google conducted a research project on how to build high-performing teams. They studied 180 teams and analysed the various factors that contribute to a team’s performance. One critical factor stood out; Psychological safety.

What is Psychological Safety?

Psychological safety is about creating a safe and productive environment where team members feel comfortable to be their unique selves. Research shows that when a team member feels safe to speak freely within the team environment, without fear of judgement or punishment, and without being seen as ignorant or incompetent, they are more innovative and work to their full potential. Psychological safety is crucial in developing high-performance teams that are effective, motivated and innovative.

If you’d like to learn how to inspire, motivate, engage, and empower people to build effective and high-performing teams, join us on 24 June in Sydney for our workshop Building High-Performance Teams. In this one-day course you’ll learn how to:
