Course Content

Learn at your own pace – embed your knowledge

We know leaders and business owners are short on time and want to get the most out of their investment, so we’ve packaged the course into three affordable learning modules, each delivered over a three month period. This learn at your own pace model gives you the chance to embed and practice what you’ve learned with your team before moving onto the next module.

Leader as Coach I

This introductory module will give you the essential skills needed to develop an effective coaching style as a leader. You’ll practice these new skills in the monthly workshops and identify your areas for development as a leader and coach. In the monthly individual coaching sessions, you’ll explore your goals and overcome any roadblocks to success with our experienced leadership coach.

Leader as Coach II

This module focuses on one of the fundamentals for successful leadership – developing self-awareness. In the monthly workshops you’ll learn how your individual strengths, mindset, and emotional intelligence play a role in your coaching style and leadership effectiveness. You’ll have the opportunity to explore these in more depth during three individual coaching sessions.

Month 1: Understanding and refining your personal coaching style (includes a personal Strengths Profile assessment and debrief)
Month 2: The role of psychological flexibility
Month 3: Mental health and wellbeing as a foundation for success

Leader as Coach III

This final module looks at how you can create a coaching culture within your team and across your organisation with a focus on communication and team coaching. During the three individual coaching sessions, you’ll explore how to put what you’ve learned into practice and identify areas for ongoing development and growth.

Program Facilitator: Katherine Craig

This program will be facilitated by our Senior Learning & Development Consultant, Katherine Craig. Katherine is an experienced coach and facilitator with more than 20 years’ experience working in complex and innovative business environments within a range of industries including media, technology, healthcare, and financial services. Katherine’s style is warm and engaging with a practical approach to coaching and facilitating. This is deeply grounded in her love of working with people and teams to empower and help them grow and develop to their full potential.

Katherine’s qualifications include: Master of Applied Science – Coaching Psychology, Bachelor of Arts – Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Commerce. She is also accredited in Strengths Profile, Acceptance Commitment Training, and a meditation teacher.
